The Andruss isn't just a room for the night. It's a base of operations. A place to clean your fish, fire up the grill, let the dog run, and sit around the fire until someone finally says good night. We've been doing this since 1958 and we know what road-trippers, anglers, and families actually need.
The Pool
The only swimming pool in Walker. Seasonal and unheated — the kind of pool you actually want to jump into after a hot day on the highway. Open as long as you're willing.
Fish Cleaning Station
Named the Richard Locatelli and Robert Orlando Memorial Fish Cleaning Station. A full setup with sink, lights, and an on-site freezer so your catch makes it home.
Fire Pit & Seating
Multiple fire pit areas and outdoor seating zones scattered around the 2.2-acre property. Pull up a chair. The stars out here are worth staying up for.
BBQ & Outdoor Cooking
Gas grills, a Blackstone griddle, an outdoor oven, and a pellet smoker — all guest-use and free. Picnic area with tables. Bring your groceries from the Walker General Store and cook dinner outside.
Horseshoe Pits
Two regulation horseshoe pits. The kind of amenity that turns a one-night stay into two.
Lobby & Games
A proper lobby with board games, local reading material, and coffee. Cool in the summer, warm in the winter. The kind of lobby you actually hang out in.
Pet Friendly, Trail Ready
The Andruss welcomes your four-legged crew — prior approval required, so please contact the motel before booking. $20/night pet fee. The West Walker River trail is a 10-minute walk from the property, most Walker restaurants have outdoor seating that welcomes dogs, and the surrounding wilderness — Toiyabe National Forest, Bridgeport Valley, the Eastern Sierra — is dog country. We'll see you both at the fire pit tonight.
